Riyadh: Saudi King Shah Salman bin Abdul Aziz contacted Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on phone and assured him to extend support for formation of independent Palestinian state. According to a report of Arab News King Salman reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s support for the Palestinian people to establish an independent state.
During the telephonic conversation with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, the king stressed the Kingdom’s firm position on the legitimate rights of Palestinians and their wish to have Jerusalem as their capital.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas thanked King Salman for his support for Palestine and its people and for supporting their cause.
