Hyderabad: Prof. Kodandaram told that due to hike in petrol and diesel prices, poor and middle-class sections of the society are suffering. He demanded that fuel should be included under GST. He pointed out that various states are imposing more than 50% tax on fuels. In this respect, Govt. of Telangana is far ahead. It has levied maximum taxes.
He was addressing a press conference in the newly formed party office. He informed that more than 1000 persons have filed their applications expressing their desire to participate in Panchayat elections and the notable thing is that all the applicants are below 35 years of age.
He threatened the TRS Government that its action for levying maximum amount of taxes on fuel would be exposed to the public.
