Komati to contest from Nalgonda LS seat, sure of Congress dislodging TRS govt

Former minister and Nalgonda MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy today announced he would contest from Nalgonda Lok Sabha constituency in the 2019 elections.

Speaking to the media here on Monday after inaugurating his party office at Vemulapally mandal head quaters, Komatireddy exuded confidence that the Congress would win in all the seven Assembly constituencies under Nalgonda Lok Sabha seat. He also said he would tour all the constituencies represented by the TRS MLAs to see that they lose their deposits in the 2019 elections. He exhorted Congress activists to get ready to dislodge the “anti-people” TRS government in the State.

Finding fault with the State government, Komatireddy alleged that the TRS government was treating farmers like beggars. He pulled up the State government for setting up Thermal Power Plant at Damaracharla, which would pollute the area. He also assured that they would waive off farmers loans at one go if the Congress came to power. (NSS
