Hyderabad: Congress senior leader and former minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy today launched a scathing attack against his political rival Gutha Sukhender Reddy saying that the TRS leader was leveling baseless charges against him and his younger brother Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy without knowing what he was talking.
Speaking to mediapersons here, Venkat Reddy said he would not have resigned from his minister’s post if he and his family were fond of power. He also claimed that it was he, who had not only got Lok Sabha ticket for Gutha after convincing then chief minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy, but also played a key role in his victory. He made it clear that he was fighting elections to save the Congress party in the State. He said he doesn’t need any advice from Gutha Sukhender Reddy, who had changed three political parties.
Dubbing Sukhendar Reddy as the most corrupt politician from Nalgonda, Komatireddy said the former was making baseless statements due to shock he received at the hands of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. He also ridiculed that KCR would not even give an MLC post to Gutha bringing curtains down to his political career.
