Komati vows to quit politics if Kavitha wins in 2019

Hyderabad: Congress MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has thrown a challenge at IT Minister KT Ramarao saying that he would quit politics if Nizamabad MP K Kavitha wins in 2019 elections.

Speaking to the media here on Friday at District Congress party office, Komatireddy asked KTR to make his sister Kavitha win in the 2019 elections instead of challenging TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy that the TRS would win 100 seats. He also said education system in Telangana State was sidetracking due to Sri Chaithanya and Narayana educational institutions. He demanded that the State government cancel recognition to the Sri Chaithanya and Narayana educational institutions as the police arrested the dean of those colleges in EAMCET paper leak scam.

Alleging that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao family has 40 percent share in Sri Chaithanya and Narayana educational institutions, Komatireddy alleged that KCR government was taking up the works where he gets commissions. He alleged that the KCR government escalated the cost of the Pranahitha project frp, Rs 30,000 crore, as Rs 90,000 crore. He also said unemployment and farmers’ suicides were increasing in Telangana State. Komatireddy also accused the TRS government of keeping the projects started by the Congress in cold storage fearing that the Congress might get good name.

Lashing out at KTR for insulting UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi as ‘Amma..Bomma’, Komatireddy said the TRS government launched a new “drama” in the name of Rythu Bandhu scheme. Ridiculing KCR’s surveys, Komatireddy said they will approach the High Court against Sri Chaithanya and Narayana colleges. He slammed the TRS government for not respecting the orders of the High Court in connection with Congress MLAs’ expulsion. (NSS)
