Krishna River Board discusses water use with two States

Krishna River Water Management Board (KRMB) today convened a meeting with irrigation officials of the two Telugu states and discussed about the water use by the two warring States.

 The seventh meeting of KRMB held at Jalasaudha here focused on related issues of using waters among Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Since the two States are seeking factual share of waters for its projects and crops, the board reviewed on the issue. KRMB Chairman Srivastava chaired the meeting attended by member-secretary Paramesham, member Venkata Subbaiah, Telangana irrigation principal secretary SK Joshi, ENC Muralidhar, Andhra Pradesh water resources secretary Shashibhushan, ENC Venkateshwar Rao.

The meeting focused on distribution of Krishna waters, working board manual, details of water used at Pothireddypadu, setting up of telemetry and needs of common capital and others. (NSS)
