K’taka polls: Chhattisgarh CM compares Rahul Gandhi to ‘scared’ schoolboy

Raipur (Chhattisgarh): Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh on Thursday took a jibe at Congress president by comparing his condition to a schoolboy ahead of exams.

He mocked Rahul in reference to his visits to temples ahead of Karnataka polls.

“God recognises all those people, all those faces who visit temples at the time of exams. When children do not study and are scared before the exams they do not stop at only one temple but visit all the temples, same is the situation with Rahul Gandhi,” said Chhattisgarh CM Raman Singh after returning from Karnataka.

During the past one month, Congress chief has made a number of visits to temples along with Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

With the polling day inching closer, the Congress-ruled Karnataka has turned into a political battleground with parties extensively campaigning across the state.

Karnataka will go to polls on May 12 to elect its representatives for the 225-member assembly. The results will be out on May 15. (ANI)
