KTR sure of bagging 100 seats and capture Mayor post

IT and Panchayat Raj Minister K Tarakarama Rao here on Saturday exuded confidence that the TRS would bag 100 seats in the GHMC elections and wrest Mayor’s post.

Speaking to mediapersons here today in the wake of release of election notification, Tarakarama Rao said selection of winning horses in the GHMC elections would be completed in a couple of days. Stating that they would take TRS government’s 18-month rule to the electorate, KTR said the State government has reserved 50 percent of the seats to women to provide equal opportunities to them on par with men.

Making it clear that he has cordial relations with his cousin and Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao, KTR said party supremo and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao may address a few election meetings according to his convenience and availability of time. KTR asserted that if the GHMC was handed over to his party by the people, they would show 50 years’ development in five years.

The minister accused the previous governments of creating confusion among people against statehood. The TRS leadership disproved it that bifurcation will lead to law & problem, settlers will not be safe and power woes will escalate KTR claimed. “No settler or those of other States are not facing any sort of discrimination as the ruling party offers complete security to them. People staying in the city could live as usual in peaceful atmosphere, he said. KTR (NSS)
