Kuwait – Hyderabad flight catches fire at Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Some 145 air passengers coming from Kuwait had a miraculous escape after the Kuwait-Hyderabad Jazeera flight number J9608 fire after landing at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad in the wee hours of Thursday.

At around 1.30 am, Jazeera flight that arrived from Kuwait caught fire due to a technical problem after landing. The aircraft was immediately stopped and fire tenders of GMR reached the spot. Meanwhile, the pilot stopped the engine and the fire was gradually brought under control.

Later, the aircraft was shifted to Bay Number 59. No casualties were reported.
