Land grabbing case: Police books husband, brother of Auraiya BJP Chief

Auraiya [UP]: Auraiya police booked husband, brother of Auraiya BJP Chief under the charge of land grabbing. Apart from these accused, four other persons were booked.

According to the report published in Indian Express, hours after a man threatened to commit suicide outside Collectorate, Auraiya police came into action. In the threat video which went viral, a man by name Devendra Kumar alleged that his land which is located at Nagla Dharamal village was sold without his knowledge.

He said that after getting information that it was sold to Mukut Singh and Rajesh Singh, he approached the police station for taking action.

Talking about the case, Mr. Nageshwar Singh, SP (Auraiya) said that after Devendra Kumar submitted a complaint, he asked Dy. Superintendent of Police to investigate the matter. Mr. Singh also said that order to register case was issued after the allegation was found true.

Mr. Akhilesh Mishra, Station House Officer, Bidhoona Police Station said that the accused in the case include Mukut Singh, Rajesh Singh, a clerk at the office of sub-divisional magistrate, Jaskaran Katheria, Mukesh Kumar, Ashutosh Gupta and Advocate Sant Kumar.

Meanwhile, Auraiya BJP Chief, Geeta Shakhya alleged that her opponents are involved in implicating her husband and brother.
