“Launch organized campaign for educating Muslim youths”: Zahid Ali Khan

Hyderabad: Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily stressed the need to launch a well-organized campaign for educating the Muslims. He was addressing the Silver Jubilee Celebrations of Madina Education Center which runs high school, degree and PG colleges.

Mr. Zahid Ali Khan further told that behind the progress of Madina Education Center, the word “Madina” has played an important role. He mentioned that Madina Education Center has been working for the past 38 years in the field of education. Even if it takes 38 years more, it should continue its efforts for educating the Muslim masses.

Recollecting the difficulties faced by Muslim community after Police Action, Mr. Zahid Ali Khan told that the properties of the Muslims were looted, their language was snatched and they were deprived of education. Now that Muslim community is coming forward to educate their children, the trend of Muslim girls joining schools and colleges has increased. The boys are not showing interest in higher education.

Highlighting the efforts of Siasat Urdu Daily, he made a special mention of Du-ba-Du (Matrimonial Alliances program) and said that highly educated girls are not prepared to get married to less educated boys. This is an alarming situation.

He advised the management of Madina Education Center to launch an organized campaign for educating the Muslim youths.

He made a special mention of Siasat’s financial assistance offered to Ms. Salwa Fatima which helped her become a commercial pilot.

He stressed the need for the government to exempt from Municipal taxes to such institutions as Madina Education Center which is spreading education among the community.

Mr. Zahid Ali Khan expressed his delight on the progress of Madina degree and PG college.

Dr. K. Keshav Rao, Secretary General of TRS and Rajya Sabha MP also addressed the gathering. He said that there is educational backwardness among the Muslims. Any institution which plays an important role to eradicate educational backwardness among the Muslim community is a welcome gesture.

Maulana Raheemuddin Ansari, Chairman of Urdu Academy mentioned his long association with Madina Education Center.

Mr. K.M. Arifuddin, Secretary, Madina Education Center highlighted the ups and downs of the institution and said that the founder editor of Siasat Urdu Daily, late. Mr. Abid Ali Khan had inaugurated the building of the institution and Maulana Hameeduddin Aquil Hussami had laid the foundation stone.
