Meerut (UP): A lawyer created ruckus at Lal Kurti police station on October 24. She was brought to the police station after allegedly hitting a vehicle. She said, “BJP Vyapar Sangh leaders including Neeraj Mittal hit my vehicle. They were stalking me and wanted to kill me as BJP councillor (Manish Kumar) is in jail due to me”.
According to police, “We have received complaint that a woman, under influence of alcohol, had hit a vehicle. All of them were brought to police station. Their statements have been recorded, we’re taking appropriate action. She claims she was a party in a recent case, we are investigating that”. BJP councillor Manish Kumar was arrested on October 20 for thrashing a cop who had come to his hotel with a lady lawyer and got into an argument with a waiter. He was booked under IPC sec 395 (punishment for dacoity) and 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty).
