Leaders demand removal of Jinnah’s picture from Pakistani currency

Karachi: Voice is now being raised against Jinnah in Pakistan as well. It is demanded to remove his picture from Pakistani currency. Leaders in Pakistan have started saying that sketching of living things is prohibited in Islam. Sketching or statue making is synonymous to idol worship and presence of the picture of a personality on Pakistani currency contradicts Islamic identity of Pakistan. Hence Jinnah’s picture should be replaced with the image of Kaaba on currency notes and coins.

Presenting spiritual solution of rising corruption, financial crisis in the country, Chairman Gujarati National Movement Irfan Solanki alias Patti Wala said doing so will invite Allah’s blessings. He further argued the presence of Kaaba image on the currency will prevent people from using it for corruption irregularity and illegal use.
