Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Mohd Mahmood Ali today said it was very easy to learn the Telugu language than Urdu.
Participating in the second-day session of World Telugu Conference at Indira Priyadarshini Auditorium here on Saturday, Mahmood Ali said he was able to learn it easily. “I learnt Telugu after joining TRS”, he said, adding that Telugu was mostly spoken language in the country after Hindi. “Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has taken a right step by making Telugu compulsory from Class 1 to 12th in the State. The world Telugu Conference will help flourish Telugu, poetry, literature in a big way and bring to light those contributed for the language”, he opined. (NSS)
