Hyderabad: The third phase of polls for ZPTCs and MPTCs were held peacefully, according to State Election Commissioner V Nagi Reddy.
Talking to mediapersons here today, Nagi Reddy said the officials coordination proved handy for fair conduct of the polls in three phases. The results will be announced on May 27 after counting the votes polled in three phases, he said. He also said 123 counting centers will be in place and arrangements are being made for the same. Two counting tables will be arranged for one MPTC, he said, adding that at a few places repolling was held due to negligence of staff. Nagi Reddy said an inquiry was ordered on the allegations of ballot paper leak. Tight security was being provided at the strong rooms wherein ballot boxes are stored, he added.
