Lok Sabha: Hyderabad MP Owaisi, Amit Shah get into verbal duel

New Delhi: AIMIM leader and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi and Home Minister Amit Shah got into verbal spat in Lok Sabha today after the BJP Chief made claims, asserting he is not frightening anyone in the Assembly.

The verbal duel between the duo started during a discussion on the National Investigation Agency (Amendment) Bill after the opposition interrupted BJP’s Satyapal Singh, TOI reports.

Singh alleged that the then Hyderabad Police commissioner was warned of transfer if he did not change his course of by the State’s political leader in a particular case and that he was aware of the development since he was Mumbai police commissioner.

Owaisi objected to this claim and demanded Singh to table the records supporting his claims before the House.

Meanwhile, Shah got up from his seat and interrupted Owaisi and said treasury members did not disturb opposition members during their speeches so they should also do the same.

Hyderabad MP Owasi responding to Shah asked him not to point a finger at him and said that he cannot be frightened.
