Lok Sabha Polls: Kaleemul Hafeez advises Muslims to form a federation

New Delhi: Reviewing the Lok Sabha Scenario of 2019, Mr. Kaleemul Hafeez published an editorial in Rashtriya Sahara and suggested that Muslim Vote should not be shattered.

He pointed out that Muslims are 14% of the total population of India but their representation in parliament is less than 1%.

According to a survey report, there are 101 Parliamentary constituencies where Muslim Voters are more than 20%. If the Muslims plan it in an organized mourner, they can select nearly 100 Muslim MPs. He ruled out the proposal for the formation of a new political party of the Muslims since Muslim League, MIM and Mr. Badruddin Ajmal’s parties are active in politics.

He suggested forming a federation of Muslim political parties in five states namely, J&K, Bengal, Assam, Kerala, and Lakshadweep where the Muslims constitute more than 25% of the voters.

In the other states like U.P., Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Karnataka, Delhi and Maharashtra, the Muslim population is between 10% and 20%.

If the Muslim parties form an alliance, they can become a strong political force. They should forge an alliance with OBCs.

He appealed to the Muslims voters not to waste their votes and to cast in favor of secular parties.
