Hyderabad: A lorry carrying chemical tins caught fire at Toll Plaza gate of Ghatkesar Outer Ring Road here on late Monday. The incident occurred around midnight when the lorry (AP37T8565) was proceeding from Kandlakoya near Medchal towards Vijayawada.
The Ghatkesar police said the driver stopped the vehicle after he noticed smoke from the engine as he was near the Toll Plaza and got down immediately. No casualties were reported, a senior official said, adding the reasons behind the fire were being ascertained. The flames were extinguished and the damaged vehicle was shifted from the road. (NSS)
