Loya’s death was not due to heart attack, alleges SC lawyer Prashant Bhushan

Nagpur: Prashant Bhushan, an Activist and Supreme Court lawyer, said that the death of former CBI judge Brijmohan Loya was not due to heart attack as said by the police.

According to the news reported in The Hindu, Mr. Bhushan was in Nagpur to deliver a lecture at Dr. Ambedkar Law College’s Law Vision fest. There he said that “There is conclusive evidence to prove that judge Loya did not die of a heart attack. The documents say so. I will visit the Dande hospital [where judge Loya was taken for treatment] today,”

He further added that “I can’t say it’s murder, but it could be.”

When Mr, Bhushan was asked regarding the statement of two Bombay High Court judges on Judge Loya’s death, he replied that “The judges can’t say he died of a heart attack only because he complained of chest pain.”
