Lulu Group to push dairy, fisheries in T: Talasani

Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav today said the State government will provide all facilities and favourable environment to the Dubai-based Lulu Group International Company to start its business in Telangana.

Lulu CEP Mahammed Salim and Director Ananth today expressed interest to launch their business and sought the State government’s cooperation. Lulu offered to extend cooperation for new slaughter house with international standards, development of Vijaya Dairy and fisheries development process and exports. The minister said the government Vijaya Dairy brand milk and products such as cheese, butter, paneer and ghee have good demand in the market.

During a meeting with Lulu delegation at the Secretariat here, the minister said the State government launched a new industrial policy to provide all permissions and facilities, including land, power, water and others. The meeting assumes significance as the minister with a team of officials has invited the businessmen and companies to invest in the State during his foreign trip to Dubai and attending Gulfood Expo in last February.

Talasani explained about the schemes for rural economy to revive and encourage community professions in the State. The government, he said, was spending about Rs 5,000 crore for sheep scheme to held Yadavas to develop with 75 per cent subsidy; fisheries production and development scheme to help revive rural economy. About 40 lakh fishermen will benefit through the scheme as they plan to drop 80 crore fish seed into lakes, reservoirs and water bodies in the districts against 51 crore fish seed dropped last year.
