The judge of Bombay High Court released him on a security bond of Rs. 50,000. The hearing of the case is continuing in Nampally Criminal Court. Pleading on behalf of the accused, Mr. Mobeen Solkar, Advocate told Bombay High Court that Ansar had nothing to do with sending the email to media house and that Indian Mujahideen was not declared as a terrorist organization at that time. There is no evidence against the accused except his confession statement and the statements of other accused. Even after the lapse of 9 years, the hearing of this case has not yet been started.
Mr. Mubeen Solkar cited the examples of the accused against whom there were serious allegations were released. Equal justice warrants that Ansar should also be released.
The case was pleaded by Jamiat-ul-Ulema of Maharastra.
Mr. Raja Thakrey, Advocate opposed the bail petition and said that the accused has serious allegations against him. It is a unique case in which apparently there will be no proof but if the case is studied deeply, it would be proved that the accused was involved in terrorist activities.
