Madrasa student’s lynching: organisations protest at Delhi police head quarter

New Delhi: Activists of various organisations staged a strong protest against the lynching of an 8-year-old madrasa student under Begumpur Thana police station limits in Delhi. The protestors accused Delhi government of playing hate politics. Dozens of protesters shouted slogans and condemned misbehaviour of Delhi police with Mohammed Azeem’s father Majid Mohammed Khaleel.

Mohammed Azeem’s father Mohammed Khaleel Ahmed said when he went to the police station to get details of his son’s killing, the SHO spoke harshly and misbehaved with him and talked to him like an accused. He said the killers of his son are getting scot free. No action has been taken against them.

Mohammed Khaleel urged police to feel his pain and intensify the proceedings and give stringent punishment to the culprits.

On October 25, an 8-year-old madrasa student was lynched in Begumpur locality of Malviya Nagar area, Delhi, by the youth of the same locality on a scuffle over the playing area.
