“Mahika Sharma” an honest and unpredictable firebrand

Mumbai: Mahika Sharma is unlike anybody else in Entertainment Industry. A feisty and successful ‘outsider’, the young Brahmin girl from Assam speaks her mind, taking on bigwigs when necessary. Mahika’s frankness may not have made her overly popular with Bollywood’s or TVs’ traditional establishment. But, whenever she has an opinion on something, she expresses it freely.

That’s a quality most of her colleagues from Bollywood don’t share.

Here we share about her markable stands and strong behavior

One was Standing with the nation, post-Pulwama

After the Pulwama tragedy hit India hard, Mahika remarked, “My mother always taught me that the land of Pakistan and India use to be one and political leaders have separated it into two nations on the name of religion. The British empire separated us on the name of religion. But we all are one. India and Pakistan are siblings but unfortunately the family i.e we Indians and they are not in the good equation that makes our nation suffer. But now after the attack, I feel they have not only violated our nation’s security, they have also attacked our dignity by openly threatening and humiliating us. We need to take decisive actions or else our silence will be misunderstood for our cowardice. Anyone who lectures about non-violence and peace at this time should be painted black, put on a donkey and slapped by everyone on the streets with a shoe Mala.”

Hurt, disturbed and annoyed, she advocated aggression without mincing her words.

Everybody would not have been impressed with her opinion on how a peacenik should be treated. However, the ordinary citizen would have been in complete agreement with her view on Pakistan, whose acts of cowardly sabotage have tormented India for decades.

Mahika is entitled to her feelings about Pakistan but also at times, she stood strong in front of many political parties and powerful rich bosses in the industry. She has always been criticized about her straight forward nature and her negligence about looking good and having good photography.

Recently she also promised about her big Bollywood debut with Actor Danny D in upcoming Bollywood movie The Modern Culture.

That said, when has Mahika ever been afraid of controversy or criticism? One may call her natural. Or simply, undiplomatic. But that is the way she is — an honest and unpredictable firebrand!
