Mahmood Ali visits Swami Goud, condemns attack

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali expressed great anger over the attack made by Congress MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Telangana Legislative Council Chairman Mr Swami Goud and termed the action as an open rowdyism.

He termed the incident as the blot in the history of House and said the attack was actually made on state governor which is like an attack on democracy. Such MLAs should be removed from membership and suspended forever.

It must be noted that Congress Legislative Party (CLP) member Komatireddy Venkat Reddy in a fit of rage threw his headphones directly at governor ESL Narasimhan while he was explaining various measures taken up by the government for the welfare of people, during his customary address to the joint sitting of the TS Legislative Assembly and Council. The headphones accidentally hit Telangana State Legislative Council chairman K Swamy Goud injuring his right eye on Monday. He was rushed to Sarojini eye hospital for medical aid.

The deputy chief minister declared it as an unforgivable crime and said people will also not forgive Congress for this.
