Make better arrangements for TS formation Day on June 2, CS tells all Depts

Hyderabad: Chief Secretary SK Joshi today directed the officials concerned to hold State Formation Day on June 2 on a grand scale.

The Chief Secretary held a high-level review meeting with officials at Secretariat here and discussed on the arrangements. Joshi directed the officials to make fool-proof arrangements at Parade Grounds in Secunderabad. All the departments should coordinate for smooth conduct of the State Formation Day, he added.

The Chief Secretary asked the police to ensure free flow of vehicular traffic en route Parade Grounds by deploying additional staff and security with adequate forces for law and order. He also asked the Information Department officials to make arrangements using LED TV, commentary, media coverage. He also stressed the need for illuminating Raj Bhavan, Assembly, Secretariat, High Court, Charminar, Golconda and the government offices and buildings. He said special emphasis has to be laid on clean drive besides drinking water, power supply, mobile toilets. Involve school children in the State Formation Day event by bringing them in 1,000 numbers from various schools and hold cultural programs highlighting the statehood, he said.

Those who attended the meeting were Special Chief Secretary, Ajay Mishra, Adhar Sinha, Principal Secretaries, Sunil Sharma, Municipal principal secretary and information commissioner and Arvind Kumar, Agriculture principal secretary Parthasarathi and others. Also attended the meet include GHMC Commissioner Dana Kishore, Additional DGP, Tej Deep Kaur, Commissioner of Police Anjani Kumar, Additional DG (Law and Order) Jithender , Hyderabad District Collector Manik Raj, Cultural Director M Harkrishna, Information department Additional Director Nagaiah and others.
