Hyderabad: Special Judge of NIA, Mr. K. Ravinder Reddy in his judgment exposed many lacunae in the investigations of NIA. NIA failed to prove the conversation between RSS activists. It also failed to prove the genuineness of Aseemanand’s confession statement. Aseemanand had recorded his statement in Delhi and Ambala courts. It is worth considering that where was the need for the agency to get his confession statement recorded outside Hyderabad and why was it recorded when he was in police custody. He could have recorded his statement in Hyderabad also where there are many courts.
The judge also remarked that NIA failed to substantiate the proof of the bombs seized from Makkah Masjid.
