Jammu: A man was arrested and seven grams of heroin were seized from his possession in Jammu city today, police said.
During surprise checking near the Shastri Nagar cremation ground, the securitymen intercepted a pedestrian roaming around suspiciously, a police spokesman said.
During the frisking of the person, seven grams of heroin were found on his possession, he added.
The contraband was seized and a case under the NDPS Act registered against the accused, the police spokesman said, adding that a probe was launched in this regard.
