Man cheats people by making promise to get govt. jobs, arrested

Hyderabad: Task Force Team of Hyderabad West Zone City Police arrested a cheater who had usurped lakhs of rupees from the unemployed persons promising them to get government jobs.

According to the details, G. Prakash Verma (27) a resident of Medak was working in Airtel Mobile Shop. After the death of his mother, he made an attempt to get government job but failed.

He promised the unemployed youths to get the jobs of junior assistants grade II in the office of Tehsildar. He collected Rs. 50 thousand to Re. 1 lakh from each candidate. He prepared fake appointment letters and gave them. When the youths approached tehsil office to give joining reports of their duties, the fraud was exposed.

Panjagutta Police and Pet Basheerabad Police registered a case and started investigation.

Task Force Police arrested G. Prakash Verma and seized fake identity cards and appointment letters from his possession. Police also seized his mobile phone. Later, Task Force arrested him and sent him to Panjagutta Police Station.
