Man dies due to blast in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A man was died due to blast in his house at Abdullapurmet on Saturday. Initially, there were rumours that religious books were found in a neighbouring room, however, the police ruled out the terror angle.

The 26-year-old was working as a technician with a private Internet service provider and had left the job a few months ago. The blast created panic in the locality, but police said the deceased could have committed suicide, but other angles are also being checked. A Clues team and forensic experts visited the spot and collected samples. A suspicious death case has been registered.

Tippagalla Parasuram, the resident of Thorrur village in Abdullapurmet mandal had got married a year ago. On Saturday morning, his wife went to a nearby temple to offer Bonalu, leaving Parasuram alone at home, police said.

According to a report of DC, at around 8 am, neighbours heard a loud noise from Parasuram’s house. When they reached his house they could see only smoke and flames. The tin sheet roof of the house was blown off.

“We heard a loud noise and when we went there he was engulfed in flames. We poured water and put out the fire but could not get inside due to the smoke,” his neighbour B. Kannayya said.

Police said that prima facie it appeared to be a case of suicide or an accident.

“A kerosene bottle was found near the body of Parasuram. We are examining all angles and would soon establish facts regarding the death,” LB Nagar DCP M. Venkateswara Rao said in a release. Household articles were also destroyed in the blast.
