Nizamabad: On Sunday night, a woman was burnt alive at Kamareddy district. She is identified as M Laxmi, 35.
According to a report published in Deccan Chronicle, the victim’s husband Ashok who is a tailor allegedly set her on fire.
According to the report, he got addicted to alcohol and was reportedly harassing his wife for the last few months.
On Sunday night he set his wife on fire in an inebriated condition. She died on the spot.
Birkur police rushed to the spot and registered a case. Ashok has been booked under Sections 498-A (Husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty) and 306 (Abetment of suicide) of the IPC.
