This role needs to scrutinize and evaluate the bids submitted by the prospective project contractors for reduction in cost, maximize tax benefits and negotiate with the project contractors and ensure issue of contract at the competitive rates. The role also responsible to avail project benefits under the various governments incentive schemes.
The role also to prepare and maintain the details of milestone payments of various projects, contract compliance and co-ordinate with the lenders engineer and compliance with the project finance covenants and advise the accounting team to ensure the correct contract accounting.
To maintain the Project Budget and ensure that the request received for works are part of the project Budget in order to ensure that project budget does not exceeds.
To scrutinize and evaluate the bids submitted by the prospective project contractors for reduction maximization of tax benefits.
To Actively participate and negotiate with the Bidders for reduction in cost
To suggest the clauses, as per RFP / agreed during negotiations, to be included in Draft Contract / agreement and to ensure that these clauses are incorporated.
To maintain list of contracts awarded with salient features like nature of work, amount, major terms etc. in order to control all the project related contracts.
To release the project related contracts in the SAP
To prepare and maintain the milestone payment of various contracts in the control sheet, receipt of PBG, Advance BG etc. for each contract
Planning the requirement of project fund based on the project payments and ensuring the fund are available on time / funds are not kept idle
To ensure proper & timely recovery of amounts from the contractor towards recovery of utilities, damages, penalty etc.
To monitor the project contract compliance and coordinate with lenders engineer and ensure compliance with financial covenants
To prepare details in order to apply, follow up and availment of Project benefits in the form of lower custom duty available to the expansion project under Project import regulation with the MoCA, DGFT, Customs deptt. etc.
To prepare and monitor installation of import items, Bill of entries in order to keep the required documents for in getting the timely completion of project assessment from the Customs deptt.
Co-ordinate with the Banks, procurement team and vendor and get the LCs opened for procurement of overseas / domestic materials as per terms of the Contract
To prepare required details in ensuring the closure of contracts as per the contract terms and with all the statutory compliances like building Cess etc. and recovery of dues and obtaining the No due certificates
To ensure proper accounting under the correct head and actively lead the development of asset register as per the project contracts and other details received from the contractors.
Knowledge on Commercial Contracts and project management
Knowledge on EXIM Policy and experience in dealing with DGFT, Ministry of Commerce etc.
