Hyderabad: Dr. Aslam Parvaiz, Vice Chancellor of Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Hyderabad announced a new system of viewing the answer scripts by the candidates before declaration of their results.
This system is applicable to all the courses which are regularly offered on the campus of MANUU, Hyderabad and other campuses located at various parts of the country.
While showing the marks obtained by the candidates, discussions will also be held with the examiners and their mistakes will be pointed out. After showing the scripts, the results of the candidates will be declared within 20 days.
Dr. Aslam Parvaiz further told that it is a revolutionary change. The objective of this system is to bring transparency in the examination system in order to improve its standard.
In this manner, the students will be able to know their mistakes. On the other hand, they will also be able to correct them.
Before the introduction of this new system, Controller of Examinations, Prof. Sajid Jamal and Director, Internal Quality Assurance Cell, Prof. Syed Mohammed Haseebuddin Qadri gave the details of various aspect of its implementation.
In addition to this system, a mechanism has been step up in each department to resolve the issues pertaining to awarding of marks/grades. These complaints committees will review the implementation of this system.
It may be mentioned that Dr. Mohammed Aslam Parvaiz had stressed the need for maintaining standards in evaluation of answer scripts and also to maintain transparency. He had expressed these thoughts in the workshop held at MANUU on 16th April 2019.
