New Smyrna, Florida: A 26-year-old married science teacher has been arrested on Wednesday for allegedly making sexual relationship with a 14-year-old boy. Stephanie Peterson was held in New Smyrna of Florida after the victim allegedly exposed the matter to his parents.
According to the 8th grade, Peterson would often pick him up from his place at 11 pm and would spend time with him in alone. The victim also revealed that Peterson would send him nude selfies of her and bought him marijuana, said a Daily Mail report.
Though it is not clear whether the boy was Peterson’s student, She had resigned from work before her arrest. As per the 14-year-old, his grades suffered due to their relationship.
Volusia County Sheriff’s Office announced Peterson’s arrest on social media and she has been charged with ‘lewd or lascivious battery and one count of transmitting harmful materials to a child’ on a $25,000 bond into county jail.
Peterson is married to Brandon, who is a firefighter. The couple has been married since 2015 and does not have any children.
