Masjid built with community funds: Locals refutes NIA claims

GURGAON: The locals of the village of Palwal rubbished the claims made by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) that the Khulafa-e-Rashideen Masjid was funded by Hafiz Saeed-led terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba’s (LeT) funds.

The residents deny the reports just a few hours after NIA claims and stated that masjid was constructed from the funds generated by the locals and not from the terror organisation funds.

Commenting on the matter, the locals claimed that the land on which the mosque in Palwal district’s Uttawar village of Haryana was built, is legal.

As per the National Investigation Agency (NIA), it had arrested three men for allegedly receiving a funding from Lahore-based Falah-e-Insaniyat Foundation (FIF), an NGO set up by the Hafiz Saeed’s Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD), Lashkar’s parent organisation.
