Masjid-e-Ek Khana: Raja Singh tweets over DJS’s alleged plan to offer namaz at the masjid

Hyderabad: Mr. Raja Singh, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA representing Goshamahal Assembly constituency issued a statement over Darsgah Jihad o Shahadat’s alleged plan to offer Namaz-e-Zuhr on Sunday, 12th May at Masjid-e-Ek Khana located at Amberpet.

He tweeted, “I would like to ask @hydcitypolice is permission given for this event as its been widely circulated on social media

I’ll stand with our ppl If anything goes wrong we are not held responsible. We don’t want #Hyderabad peace to be disturbed

@CPHydCity @TelanganaDGP @TelanganaCMO”.

It may be mentioned that the area near the masjid is witnessing tension since GHMC officials had dismantled the 400-year-old masjid. After which, stone pelting took place at the spot.

When tension got escalated, Mr. Singh visited the spot. However, he was immediately taken into police custody as a precautionary measure. Later, he was released.

Since then, Mr. Singh has been trying hard to stop the reconstruction of masjid.

Earlier, in a video message, he said, “Ek nayee ‘Ayodhya’ ko janam na de” (We don’t want any other #Ayodhya to be made in #Hyderabad).
