Hyderabad: Under the pretext of appointing the candidates as Haj volunteers, Al-Makkah Tours and Travels, Basheer Bagh cheated more than 200 persons. The travel agents collected Rs. 10-20 thousand from each candidate promising to get them appointed as Haj volunteers. They also collected their passports. The victims contacted Sultan and Mazhar who are the proprietors of Al-Makkah Tours and Travels. They called the candidates to their office but turned off their phone and closed their office located at Babu Khan Estate, Basheer Bagh on 29th June. The victims lodged a complaint at Saifabad Police Station.
Sub-Inspector of Police, Mr. D. Raja Reddy registered a case of fraud and started investigation.
