Maulana Salman Nadwi to meet Sri Sri again, says Shariah permits construction of masjid away from disputed site

Lucknow: Despite the announcement by All India Personal that no compromise will be made on Babri Masjid, Maulana Salman Nadwi is adamant on its stand. Before the next hearing on March 14, he will conduct a meeting with Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and sadhus in Ayodhya.

Maulana Salman Nadwi says that he is stuck to his stand on Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhumi issue. He said soon he will go to Ayodhya and discuss the matter with sadhus.

It must be noted that Maulana Salman Nadwi has been removed from Board on Sunday due to his opposition on Muslim Personal Law Board’s stand and meeting with Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. However, Maulana Salman Nadwi announced that he would begin his visit on February 20. He further said that the likeminded Muslims will be associated with the proposal. Because the only solution to the controversy is that the masjid is built in a Muslim locality away from the disputed site. He claimed that the Shariah gives such permission.
