Mayawati lashing out due to sheer desperation, can foresee her loss in U.P: BJP

New Delhi: Lashing out at Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati for her remark likening BJP Chief Amit Shah to Mumbai attack terrorist Ajmal Kasab, the Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday said that the former is resorting to such statements in clear desperation, as she could foresee her impending loss in the state Assembly Elections.

“BSP can foresee its defeat therefore they are reacting over every small issue. Be it Congress, Samajwadi Party or BSP, they are connecting every comment to themselves,” BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain told ANI.

“People have made their mind that they will make BJP win the election. The party will make government here with majority. No matter how much the opposition rebukes Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we will still receive huge support from the public,” Hussain said.

Earlier, launching a scathing attack at Amit Shah over his ‘Kasab’ remark, Mayawati said, “there is no bigger ‘Kasab’ (terrorist) than the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president.”

The former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh further said Amit Shah’s Kasab statement shows the cheapness of the saffron party.

The BJP president drew flak from the opposition for devising ‘KASAB’ as an acronym for describing Congress, Samajwadi Party (SP) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP).

“In the last fifteen years, the Samajwadi Party and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) governments have ruined Uttar Pradesh. The two were enough for destruction, however, a third one has also arrived. The population of UP must get rid of this KASAB, and by this I mean – ‘Ka’ for Congress, ‘S’ for SP and ‘B’ for…,” Shah said while addressing a rally in Chauri Chaura.

While he didn’t clearly mention the BSP, there was no denial from his side when the audience shouted ‘BSP’. (ANI)
