MBT Demands withdraw cases of National anthem accused

The Supreme Court made the playing of national anthem in cinema halls before screening of movies optional, modifying its earlier order. The apex court modified its November 30, 2016, order by which it had made the playing of the anthem mandatory in cinema halls before the screening of a film.

MBT welcomed the Supreme Court’s decision, MBT Spokesperson Amjadullah khan khalid said Under the previous order, many people were harassed, especially people from the minority community, who were physically handicapped were targetted by all so-called vigilantes who support the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and the Bharatiya Janata Party .

He demands withdraw all cases booked on those people who are not standing up for national anthem in cinema hall.

MBT leader said immediately withdraw of Three engineering students hailing from Jammu and Kashmir have been booked for National Anthem by not standing when it was being played in a cinema hall at Rajendra nagar, Hyderabad
