Hyderabad: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) President and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi has laid the foundation for ” Roti Ghar”, meals at doorstep for poor families, at Edi Bazaar in Old city here on Independence day today.
The unique concept ‘ Roti Ghar’ with an aim to provide meals twice a day to 3,000 poor families was announced by old city businessman Hameeduddin, Chairman of RR Group of Companies.
While addressing the gathering, Asaduddin Owaisi announced that he would give two vans from his MPLAD funds to the RR charitable trust for distribution of food packages.
Owaisi said providing food to the needy at their doorstep was a unique concept. Many poor families could not afford meals twice a day because of their poverty.
