Hyderabad: Teachers working in Govt. medical colleges will now get promotions according to U.G.C’s Career Advancement Scheme.
An assistant Professor working in a medical college is eligible to get promotion as Associate Professor if he has completed four years’ service.
It was reported that teachers working in Govt. medical colleges were not able to get promotions even after putting in 10-15 years’ service due to lack of vacancies.Underthis scheme, they will now be benefited.
