Meerut: National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted the simultaneous raids on 16 places in various cities of the country. During the crackdown, it also conducted raids in Radhna and Laliyana village of Kathor in Meerut and arrested 5 suspects.
According to sources, NIA, ATS, Delhi police, UP police and other security agencies in a joint drive conducted raids in Amroha and arrested several persons.
According to government sources, a Maulana was also arrested in Hapur by the ATS. The suspects arrested in Amroha are believed to be the aides of the sleeping module of ISIS.
The raids by NIA, ATS and UP police has created panic among the people. Radhna village is infamous for manufacturing and smuggling of illegal weapons.
