Meeting with PM will be on the ground of community issues only: Maulana Jalaluddin Umri

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Muslim leaders of India in the presence of King of Jordan Shah Abdullah II. However, a big and influential Muslims organisation was not seen on the occasion. On the question of absence of representation of Jamat-e-Islami Hind in the programme, President Jamat-e-Islami Hind Maulana Jalaluddin Umri said he was not formally invited by Prime minister’s office or anybody. He said if we have to meet him we will meet someday but it is uncalled for to go in such programme. We meet prime minister only on to resolve issues.

Jamat president expressed concern over Syrian crisis and said the situation implies that the United Nations has completely paralyzed.

On the bank scams and fleeing away of the accused, Maulana said the government’s soft corner is visible towards the culprits. Slamming Yogi Government’s continuous encounter Maulana said it is the violation of Court’s right. It is court’s job to see who is criminal and who is not.
