Mumbai: Former chief minister of Jammu & Kashmir and PDF chief Mehbooba Mufti said the establishment of peace in Kashmir will be possible through late Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s formula of democracy, Kashmirism and humanity but the present central government has ignored it, as a result, the establishment of peace in the state has become impossible.
She said if the government prepares a comprehensive and concrete strategy and takes a decision on the lines of Kartarpur, and if it is serious in establishing peace in Kashmir it must shun its ego. Then the day will not be far that the situation of Kashmir will be improved.
Mehbooba warned that if the government tries to dilute article 35 A under section 370 of the constitution it will have destructive consequences, and the moderates like who are in favour of the constitution will become disillusioned.
These views were expressed by Mehbooba Mufti while speaking to journalists of Urdu newspapers during her 3-day visit to Mumbai.
