#MeToo: Jamia Millia Islamia students want polls for ICC

New Delhi: Reacting to the steadily rising #MeToo steam that took over the whole nation after International drive, Students of Jamia Millia Islamia has requested the authorities to hold student representatives in the Internal Complaints Committee.

The AISA on Tuesday met with the registrar and submitted a memorandum of their demands, Indian Express reports.

Speaking about it, AISA president Ajaz Choudhary said all their demands had been accepted: “We wanted student representatives in the ICC to be elected, sanitary napkin vending machines to be installed, and lanes around the university to get proper lighting.”

While a senior varsity official confirmed the report and said the administration is looking into it.
