Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy today said that the government will complete all three Metro Rail Corridors as per schedule and provide better transportation facility to the people in the city.
Mahender Reddy launched fifth edition of “Hyderabad International Show”at Exhibition Grounds here. Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that Metro Rail launched for public on Nov 29 is getting a huge response and on completion of the works will ease off regular traffic jams in the city. Everyday one lakh people are taking to Metro Rail facility and the number will increase to 15 lakhs on completion of the three corridors he said. Right now the TSRTC is shifting about 35 lakhs of people through its services everyday and half of that will shift to metro rail facility on completion of its corridors, he said.
The minister also said that better public transport system will prove handy he said. Road expansion works will be taken up at some places in the city to ease of traffic movement. Hyderabad is providing better space for Automotive market, he said. (NSS)
