MFC gives nod to 66 posts of Urdu officers: Prof. Shukoor

Hyderabad: Finance Department has sanctioned 66 posts in Minority Welfare Department. Minority Welfare Department will issue recruitment notification after the approval of GAD and Law Department. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on November 9 had announced in the assembly that recruitment of 66 Urdu Officers (translators) will be announced within 60 days.

Secretary Minority Welfare Syed Omer Jaleel told that the recruitments will be made through Telangana Urdu Academy. He further added that 6 posts are of assistant director while the remaining 60 posts are of Urdu officers. According to Secretary Minority Welfare recruitments aim at ensuring presence of Urdu translators in all key departments. The applications received in Urdu need to be translated in Telugu or English and present them to minister and district collectors.

Secretary Director Urdu Academy Prof. S A Shukoor told that a selection committee of experts will be formed which will finalise the mode of examination.
