Microsoft Surface Pro tablet may run on cheaper Pentium chips

Washington: To compete against the Apple iPad, Microsoft is preparing its Surface Pro tablet for this year which will be slightly easy on the pockets of the users.

The company is expected to introduce a USD 400-priced tablet and based on the FCC filings, it is likely to run on cheaper Intel Pentium chips, Cnet reported.

Current model of the Surface Pro tablets are equipped with the Intel Core chips. With Pentium chips, both the performance and the price will be reduced. (ANI)
