Midfielder Issa Sarr quits Orlando Pirates

Capetown: Senegalese footballer Issa Sarr has left South African Football club Orlando Pirates after serving it for four years.

Confirming the report, the club stated that the player displayed a high level of discipline during his stay and the team is grateful to him for that.

“Following four wonderful seasons, midfielder Issa Sarr has left Orlando Pirates. Words cannot express the gratitude and appreciation for Sarr during his stay at the club. This is a player who – at all times – displayed high levels of professionalism and discipline,” Sports24 quoted the club statement.

“The Club will remain forever grateful for his contribution and wish him nothing but the very best in his future endeavours,” the statement added.

Sarr played for Senegalese football club Jaraf de Dakar before joining South African clubs, Chippa United and Platinum Stars. He then joined Orlando Pirates during the 2014-2015 season.

Meanwhile, Orlando Pirates are, reportedly, looking to make some new inclusions into the team.
