Hyderabad: Even MIM MLAs are wonderstruck why their leader is toeing the line of KCR in every respect. While starting short-term discussions on Minorities Welfare, the floor leader of MIM spent most of his time to please the CM. The Muslims of Telangana were watching the direct telecast of Assembly proceedings but after listening to his speech, they got disappointed that the Muslim representatives are not bothered about the reservation of Muslims. The floor leader of MIM although made a reference to 12% reservations for Muslims but he presented it as the anxiety of the Muslim youths. He remarked that reservations are not like “Fast food”. Whenever, a decision is taken, reservations would be provided. Govt. has already forwarded Assembly resolution to the Center. He further told that it took 14 years to get statehood for Telangana. He made a hint that it is futile to expect reservations in the near future. It seemed as if he was talking the tone of Govt.
His attitude could be assessed from the fact that before making the speech he came out of the chamber of the CM and immediately after it, he embraced him and sat beside him.
The issues pertaining to the reimbursement of fees, rejection of 1, 53, 000 applications of the Muslims for getting loans from Finance Corporation, Overseas Scholarships, Shaadi Mubarak etc. were not touched upon.
The interesting thing was that during his speech, the members of the treasury benches were clapping their hands whereas the companions of the floor leader were looking at him surprisingly.
CM must have made a reference of his speech to his colleagues and MLAs to take a lesson from him if they want to praise anyone.
